Name: Queen Esther
Birthday: 4/27/1986
Gender: Female

Interests: One day I plan on traveling the world, being cultural enriched (particularly from Europe), and I will do this by becoming either the CEO or the CFO of a huge business corporation, (That's my backup plan if ruling the world becomes out of reach ;), i also love volleyball, tennis, photography, reading, shopping, listening to music, and food. Yup, my #1 interest is, of course, food.
Expertise: Being completely stubborn but refusing to admit it, overanalyzing everything, bottling up my emotions until I'm about to explode, eating lots of food without thinking about its "consequences", planning events/being put in charge of calling ppl to hang out, wasting time watching TV or listening to music, apologizing for something I didn't do... oh, and math.

Back from break, back to work

New York is such an interesting place. So very fascinating, so very fun, so very exciting - a great place to be when you're young, and have nothing better to do :)
There's so much to see and do when you're here - and everything is so accessible (love love love the subway station!! but not at night...).

Everyone moves so quickly - things are much more fast-paced. It's also a very diverse place - I don't know if it's because of all the tourism, but I heard multiple languages being spoken everywhere I went. But yeah - New York City exemplifies a lot of what America is about - a big melting pot for different cultures, a place where everyone can make it work, or have the opportunity to try. People are busy, crazy, happy, mean, tricky, friendly, and every other adjective you can think of to describe a person (lol...yes i know that's vague but just let it be...).

I had a lot of fun with Gina exploring this place. There were so many places and things we did and saw, but there were still so many more that we didn't get to do or see. Well, next time then :)

Highlights:
 - Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon, Akon performed!!
 - Flight of the Conchords at Radio City Music Hall - hilarious!
 - Knicks Game at Madison Square Garden
 - Broadway Show: August - sooo good!
 - Metropolitan Museum
 - Pig N Whistle
 - basically running around NYC trying to find our way

In addition to fun in NY, I had a fabulous weekend with my girls :)
Sareen, Jenny, Ashley, Susie, Gena, Joanne, Ealeen (and Karen!)

More highlights:
 - Shopping in SF
 - Ann's Kitchen with Jenny
 - Cal Day
 - Cheesecake Factory dinner!
 - Staying up late (til 4:30am) talking
 - Brunch with Jimmy :)
 - Church <3

Boy am I exhausted. But I'm happy. I just didn't want the week/weekend to be over.
Back to the worklife now....

Love always,
eray

Today I came home to an awful smell - the kitchen smelled like burning, like gas or burnt wires or something funky. Sure enough, our fridge is broken

All that food going to waste....sad day.

Despite the sadness that comes from losing all that food in the fridge, it's kinda funny when things break or go wrong. My mom starts freaking out - this time she panicked and made my dad move the fridge to look behind it. While he was looking at it (probably not really knowing what he was doing) my mom frantically cleaned the floor and sniffing the fridge, trying to see where the gas-smell was coming from, all while yelling that she's scared the house is going to burn down. (What is it about my mom [or maybe moms in general] that immediately think about worse case scenarios when something goes wrong?!? Drives me crazy....)
And my poor dad, he doesn't know anything about refrigerators! But my mom kept asking him, "What's wrong with it? Where is that smell coming from? Fix it!!" Hahaha...oh parents.

Thus goes another day in the Ray family household!
